Trauma Sales Representative - Los Angeles

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Trauma Sales Representative in Los Angeles, California. The role is field-based and involves selling Stryker trauma products to surgeons and healthcare professionals, becoming the resident trauma expert for a sophisticated audience. It is a 100% commission position with eligibility for bonuses and benefits, and requires an on-call schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Sell Stryker trauma products to surgeons and healthcare professionals, providing advice and training on products and tools used to save lives
• Organize materials and sort possible solutions quickly during operating room and emergency room consultations
• Maintain and manage your own inventory of products and assist customers whenever needed
• Build credibility through knowledge of both your own products and competitors' offerings
• Attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside regular business hours

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in a clinical healthcare or sales role (or a combination)
• 3+ years of sales experience preferred
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals in the area would be beneficial
• Comfortable in emergency and operating room environments
• Willingness to work an on-call schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Knowledge of marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systems
• Excellent organizational skills
• Use of current office technologies such as MS Office and databases
• Adherence to compliance and AdvaMed principles, including confidentiality and ethics

Travel is 30%. The role is commission only, eligible for bonuses and benefits.
