About the role

The Senior Trainer Specialist provides leadership and professional development training for managers and staff across the Georgia Department of Human Services. The role designs, delivers, and continuously improves classroom and virtual learning experiences while traveling statewide as needed. It also supports the agency’s mission by fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver leadership and professional development courses in both classroom and virtual formats.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create curriculum, guides, workbooks, and multimedia learning objects.
• Manage course logistics, including scheduling, room reservations, LMS registration, and attendance tracking.
• Apply instructional design models such as ADDIE and Kirkpatrick to ensure effective learning outcomes.
• Analyze participation metrics, evaluation data, and ROI to continuously improve training programs.
• Mentor other instructors and serve as subject‑matter expert for assigned courses.

Required profile

• Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with diverse audiences.
• Ability to travel 25‑35% statewide and work independently under limited supervision.
• Strong project‑management, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
