Trainer - Distribution 2nd Shift

About the role

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. is hiring a Trainer for the Distribution department, 2nd shift, at its Anderson, South Carolina location. The trainer provides equipment training for operators of Powered Industrial Trucks and plans and runs training in line with the distribution departments' Standard Operating Procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Train operators on Powered Industrial Trucks using established work instructions, training materials and required PPE, and follow up on their progress
• Plan and facilitate training in line with the Standard Operating Procedures of the distribution departments
• Maintain training files, physical and electronic, and complete training documents via SharePoint and PowerApps
• Develop training material together with the Training Manager, Safety and Management
• Give feedback on work instructions and training documents to drive continual improvement
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school education or 2-3 years of related experience
• Largely self-directed, with excellent spoken and written English
• No final warnings, no more than 6 attendance points, efficiency and quality goals met for the previous 3 months, and currently in the same role for 6+ months
• Physical dexterity, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and ability to stand 100% of the time
• Able to work long hours and weekends as needed

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to interpret and complete charts, schedules, reports, forms and records
• Knowledge of 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks safely and follow the forklift training safety rules
