About the role

City Rise Traffic provides high‑quality traffic control safety services for construction sites across California. The Traffic Control Lead supervises on‑site crews, ensures safe execution of traffic control plans, and supports employee training and development.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise job‑site traffic control crews and manage day‑to‑day work‑zone setup, maintenance, and tear‑down.
• Implement traffic plans and permits, conduct daily Job Hazard Analyses and tailgate meetings.
• Maintain safety focus, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with MUTCD and company guidelines.
• Drive company trucks, operate towable equipment, and keep equipment organized and functional.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide on‑site training.

Required profile

• Current LIUNA membership with journey‑person classification and applicable CBA.
• Proficient knowledge of Caltrans MUTCD and ability to read traffic control plans and permits.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean record and experience driving medium‑duty vehicles and towing trailers.
• Strong leadership, customer service, and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in high‑volume, variable‑weather conditions.

Required skills

• ATSSA Flagging, Traffic Control Tech, and Traffic Control Supervisor certifications.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
• First Aid/CPR and TMA certifications.
• Basic computer skills.
