Trade Compliance Specialist

About the role

Moog is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support its international trade activities. This fully remote position reports to the Regional Trade Compliance Manager and serves the Blacksburg, VA team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide subject‑matter expertise on U.S. export regulations (ITAR, EAR, ATF, OFAC) and perform KYC/due diligence and denied‑party screening.
• Assist with obtaining licenses and other U.S. government authorizations, and manage post‑approval tasks such as kickoff meetings and monitoring usage.
• Advise business units on compliance for shipments, technical data, foreign travel, visitors, and Technology Control Plans.
• Support the company’s compliance culture through training, awareness programs, and administration of the compliance program.
• Facilitate domestic and international business travel, including occasional trips to Moog’s Blacksburg location.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business (or related field) with at least 3 years of experience, or associate degree with 7 years of experience.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing organization or similar environment.
• Advanced degree in International Business or Engineering and trade‑related certifications are highly desired.
• Direct export licensing experience.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of U.S. export regulations: ITAR, EAR, ATF, OFAC.
• Denied‑party screening and KYC due diligence.
• License and U.S. government export authorization administration.
• Export licensing processes and compliance documentation.
