About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking experienced Tire Mechanics to join its Marietta, GA Service Center. You will work full‑time, Monday‑Friday, handling tire changes, repairs, and maintenance on class 8 fleet vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Mount, dismount, and repair tractor‑trailer tires according to company standards.
- Operate truck balancers, air wrenches, and basic hand tools on‑site and on the road.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of commercial tire experience.
- Ability to lift up to 125 lb and stand on concrete for extended periods.
- Clean motor vehicle record and a current operator’s license.
Required skills
- Proficiency with tire mounting/dismounting equipment and truck balancers.
- Knowledge of DOT tire regulations and out‑of‑service criteria.
- Ability to identify tire types, fasteners, and differentiate retreads from new tires.

- Competitive pay up to $32.31 per hour.
- Full‑time schedule with one week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
