Trailer Mechanic – Full-Time (2nd/3rd Shift)

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for its Marietta, GA Service Center. This full‑time position works the 2nd and 3rd shifts, Monday through Friday, and offers a competitive hourly rate of up to $38.85.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare required FMCSA documentation.
• Test equipment to ensure performance meets manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Experience performing safety inspections and completing related paperwork.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and lift up to 50 lb.
• Own tools, dependable, and able to work in varying climate conditions.

Required skills

• Trailer preventive maintenance (PM) and repair experience.
• Use of Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System.
• Welding, sheet‑metal, and composite panel repair.
• Operation of yard tractors and trailers.
• Maintenance on Class 8 commercial vehicles.
