Technical Service Manager - Distribution & Industrial Chemical Processing

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Service Manager to lead field technical market development for our surfactants, water‑soluble polymers, chelates and acids across multiple end‑use markets. The role is part of BASF’s Care Chemicals division, supporting customers in pulp & paper, water treatment, chemical, polymer and textile processing.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute technical market strategies for distribution partners and direct customers.
• Own the segment’s technical pipeline and drive day‑to‑day field execution.
• Build and nurture technical relationships with distribution partners, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Provide technical support, product recommendations and troubleshooting for high‑value industrial applications.
• Collaborate with R&D and product management to align offerings with market needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical service or market development within industrial chemicals.
• Strong understanding of surfactants, water‑soluble polymers, chelates and acids.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a remote US setting.
