Technical Product Manager – Infrastructure & DevOps

About the role

tastytrade is seeking a Technical Product Manager to own the roadmap for its infrastructure and DevOps capabilities, ensuring the trading platforms remain fast, stable, and secure. The role is hands‑on, partnering closely with engineers to shape CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and infrastructure‑as‑code.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the roadmap for infrastructure and DevOps, covering CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and AWS cloud environment.
• Collaborate with backend teams (Ruby, Java) to identify and close tooling gaps that affect delivery speed or risk.
• Prioritize infrastructure work against the needs of customer‑facing trading platforms, account opening flows, and internal tools.
• Establish metrics for “healthy infrastructure” such as deployment frequency, incident MTTR, and cost, and use them to guide decisions.
• Partner with engineers to improve build, test, and deployment workflows for rapid, safe releases.
• Lead build‑vs‑buy analyses for tooling and vendors, evaluating cost, speed, security, and scalability.
• Ensure infrastructure practices meet security, compliance, and audit standards for a regulated brokerage.
• Communicate roadmap, trade‑offs, risks, and progress to engineering leadership and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of product management experience, with a focus on infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or developer‑productivity products.
• Proven ability to ship infrastructure or platform improvements that measurably boost reliability, cost efficiency, or engineering velocity.
• Experience working with engineering, security, and compliance teams, preferably in a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong analytical and prioritization skills, able to balance technical depth with business impact.
