Swim Aide – Part‑Time Aquatics Support

About the role

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, the Swim Aide assists certified YMCA Swim Lesson Instructors during swim classes. This part‑time role supports a safe and engaging pool environment for members of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Assist aquatics instructors during swim classes and, when needed, work one‑on‑one with individual students.
• Prepare and set up all equipment before each class and store it after the session.
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment at all times.
• Engage with members, listen actively, and help them achieve their swimming goals.
• Attend mandatory monthly in‑service training and twice‑yearly association trainings.

Required profile

• Age between 15 years and 15 years 11 months.
• YASA (YMCA Aquatic Safety Assistant) certification; no prior experience required.
