Supplier Development Manager

About the role

The Supplier Development Manager will be fully integrated in Airbus Commercial’s General Procurement organization, supporting a portfolio of around 20 supplier sites and 20‑40 work packages across the United States. The role involves close collaboration with internal Airbus plants, programs and external suppliers to drive performance, quality and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead continuous improvement programmes for suppliers, creating road‑maps and improvement plans aligned with GP strategy.
• Perform supplier audits and control reviews, ensuring compliance with Airbus and external standards such as EN9100.
• Manage supplier performance reviews, capability assessments and action‑plan execution for high‑risk or strategic suppliers.
• Identify, assess and mitigate supplier‑level risks through on‑site capability assessments and coordination of derisking projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Approximately ten years of experience in procurement, quality, or related functions, with increasing authority.
• Project Management certification and/or quality certifications are desirable.
• Fluent English; additional French, German or Spanish is a plus.
