Supervisor RN Operations Coordinator – Emergency Medicine (Days)

About the role

This full‑time, day‑shift position supervises and provides direct patient care within an Emergency Medicine unit. The role coordinates, delegates, and oversees nursing interventions for individuals and patient cohorts, ensuring high‑quality, evidence‑based care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and respond to critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma in the emergency setting.
• Organize, plan, and supervise coordinated patient care, managing staffing, scheduling, and clinical supplies.
• Develop, evaluate, and mentor assigned nurses and patient care technicians.
• Promote nursing protocols, resolve conflicts, and collaborate with unit leadership and quality‑safety teams.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required for Ochsner Magnet facilities.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support certification.
• At least 1 year of RN experience (or 2 years LPN experience) in an acute care setting.
• Ability to work under high pressure, manage multiple priorities, and maintain professionalism in stressful situations.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
