Student Technology Support Assistant (Federal Work Study)

About the role

This Federal Work‑Study position supports technology services on the Walton County Campus. You will assist students, faculty and staff with basic IT tasks while gaining valuable workplace experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer phones, make calls and respond to internal and external program inquiries.
• Assist with orientations and testing events.
• Operate office equipment and perform basic computer work using Microsoft Office and internet research.
• Complete campus errands as needed.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and maintaining that enrollment.
• Meeting Federal Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements and having a completed FAFSA for the current aid year.
• Not in default on any Federal aid program and having a verified financial‑aid file.
• Strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to conduct internet research.
• Experience operating standard office machines.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $10.00 (maximum rate).
• 19.5‑hour work week.
• No State of Georgia benefits.
