Structures Engineer – Air Vehicles

About the role

The Structures Engineer will develop primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies, using first‑principle methods and advanced design tools. This role involves end‑to‑end responsibility from preliminary design through prototype manufacturing, supporting onsite engineering at manufacturing and integration sites.

Key responsibilities

• Own development of metallic and composite structural components from concept to prototype.
• Perform detailed finite element analysis for strength, buckling, damage tolerance, and delamination at component, assembly, and aircraft levels.
• Conduct trade studies and design research to optimize weight, performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule.
• Collaborate with mechanical systems, aerodynamics, manufacturing, and project engineering teams.

Required profile

• B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years in aerospace or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of composite material mechanics, load paths, and hand calculations for robust structural design.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
