About the role
Benesch is seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to lead bridge design and delivery for transportation projects. The role combines technical oversight, client coordination, and mentorship of junior engineers in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Direct project teams through planning, design, and delivery of bridge and transportation projects, ensuring cost control and quality assurance.
- Manage project budgets, supervise staff and subcontractors, and mentor developing structural engineers.
- Contribute to technical design work as a reviewer or advisor and support business development activities such as proposals and networking.
Required profile
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural) required; M.S. preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license in Illinois preferred.
- 10+ years of roadway bridge design experience, with management experience preferred.
- Experience with IDOT, ISTHA, CDOT, or Chicagoland agencies is a plus.
