Strategic Initiatives Project Manager

About the role

Dematic is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Project Manager for its Mods and Upgrades Business Unit in the United States. Reporting to the Vice President of Mods & Upgrades, you will lead high‑impact, cross‑functional programs that drive business transformation, operational excellence, and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives from concept through execution and value realization, partnering with executive leadership to define objectives and roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts; monitor performance, manage risks, and ensure delivery against scope, cost, quality, and timeline.
• Coordinate activities across Operations, Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and Customer Support, facilitating alignment and steering committee meetings.
• Support organizational change by creating communication plans, identifying process improvements, and championing continuous improvement.
• Develop business cases, cost‑benefit analyses, ROI assessments, and monitor budgets to keep initiatives within financial parameters.
• Provide concise executive updates, create dashboards and presentations, and escalate critical issues with corrective recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Operations Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects, programs, or strategic initiatives with proven success in complex, cross‑functional environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving alignment across competing priorities.

Required skills

• Project management methodologies and tools (PMP, PgMP, Agile, Scrum, Lean, Six Sigma).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration platforms.
