Storeroom Coordinator

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is looking for a Storeroom Coordinator in Kankakee. The role manages all storeroom operations and supports the plant by keeping inventory accurate, accessible and aligned with manufacturing and maintenance needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage storeroom inventory using the Maximo system
• Process requests for new items and create purchase requisitions
• Coordinate with Purchasing to place and track orders
• Receive, verify and document incoming materials and parts
• Distribute and stock inventory, maintain stock levels including critical spare parts, and perform cycle counts
• Audit and correct documentation discrepancies, and coordinate shipping and receiving
• Expedit vendor orders and build strong vendor relationships
• Evaluate pricing and sourcing options for restocking materials
• Work with Maintenance and Reliability teams to set optimal inventory levels and stage parts for maintenance projects
• Locate, pick and issue materials
• Keep the work area safe, clean and organized
