Staff Pharmacist – Online Pharmacy Operations

About the role

Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to help make medication access faster, safer, and more convenient for customers. You will work in a high‑volume, technology‑driven environment, ensuring prescriptions are verified, filled, and delivered accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Perform clinical data review, prescription verification, and virtual patient consultations in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage end‑to‑end prescription fulfillment, including dispensing using automated systems (Parata Max2) and manual fills.
• Package and prepare prescriptions for shipment, handling specialized items such as refrigerated and bulk medications.
• Conduct thorough Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) and document accurately in pharmacy systems.
• Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and fellow pharmacists to maintain efficient workflow.
• Support operational excellence initiatives, report quality or safety concerns, and handle daily tasks such as returns, rejects, therapeutic substitutions, and canister approvals.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations.
• Ability to work long shifts (up to 12 hours) and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 49 lb.
• Excellent attention to detail and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with automated dispensing systems (Parata Max2).
• Proficiency in pharmacy software and basic computer functions.
• Conducting Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR).
