Engineering Lab Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking an Engineering Lab Manager to lead its engineering laboratory in Salt Lake City. You will oversee design verification and validation activities, manage laboratory personnel, and ensure testing services meet the highest safety, reliability, and performance standards for medical device products.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the engineering lab and testing staff.
• Maintain safety, data integrity, and quality standards for all laboratory activities.
• Manage multiple projects to meet schedule and cost objectives.
• Oversee routine maintenance, calibration, and safety inspections of lab equipment.
• Develop and execute test methods for product performance, reliability, and safety.
• Maintain expertise in applicable testing standards, regulatory requirements, and industry practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in medical device product development, testing, or manufacturing.
• Proven leadership and project‑management experience in a technical environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross‑functional teams.
