Staff Pharmacist

About the role

Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to help make medication access easier for customers. The role involves hands‑on participation in the full prescription fulfillment process, from order initiation through verification, packing, and shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Fill, verify, and pack medication orders for shipment.
• Manage and maintain customer profiles in PharmacyOS.
• Process initial prescription orders, coordinate transfers, and acquire new prescriptions.
• Perform quality‑assurance checks on packet and bulk dispenses, ensuring compliance before shift end.
• Handle ancillary pharmacy tasks such as returns, medication rejects, substitutions, and canister approvals.
• Answer clinical questions, provide guidance, investigate errors, and report resolutions.
• Collaborate with the distribution team and ensure adherence to company procedures and federal/state regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions and lift up to 20 lb for warehouse tasks.
