Staff IT/MSP Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Staff IT Engineer to own the technical health of our Managed Service Provider’s entire client portfolio. Reporting to the CTO or Director of Engineering, you will design and enforce the blueprint for server deployments across 50 companies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain “Gold Standard” configurations for Entra ID, Intune, and other tenant settings.
• Manage the core MSP toolset, including RMM, PSA, backup portals, and documentation platforms.
• Lead Tier‑4 support, handling the most critical incidents and conducting root‑cause analyses.
• Design complex cloud‑to‑cloud migrations and M&A integrations for senior engineers to execute.
• Define documentation standards to provide a single pane of glass visibility across all client environments.
• Oversee zero‑trust hardening, MFA rollout, and audit readiness for HIPAA, CMMC, SOC2 compliance.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in an MSP environment.
• Expert‑level knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure (identity & networking), and AWS.
• Proven ability to translate high‑value architectural decisions to non‑technical executives.

Required skills

• PowerShell, Python, or API integration scripting.
• Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure AD, and Azure networking.
• RMM and PSA platforms.
• EDR/XDR, SIEM, and Advanced Threat Protection solutions.
