S&S System Engineer – North America

About the role

As an S&S Systems Engineer you will ensure the reliable operation of radar systems in the field, providing technical solutions, troubleshooting, and driving product improvements through direct customer support and demonstrations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily and on‑call end‑user support for software‑hardware integration, diagnosing and resolving issues remotely or on‑site.
• Monitor and maintain database, system and server performance, handling security and functionality updates.
• Perform on‑site hardware repairs, root‑cause analysis, and replacement of faulty components.
• Configure networking on Ubuntu using Netplan, manage VLANs, static routing, firewalls and resolve stack failures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, remote or on‑site inspections, and analyse data trends for continuous improvement.
• Manage subcontractors on location to ensure compliance with service contracts and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience combining software, Linux and field hardware engineering.
• Valid driver’s license for North America and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Required skills

• Hands‑on Ubuntu Linux administration (system services, log analysis, package management).
• Network configuration using Netplan, SSH, port forwarding, firewalls and routing.
• Experience with radar systems or similar industrial hardware.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
