Sr. Training & Development Specialist

About the role

The State Accounting Office is seeking a senior professional to design, deliver, and evaluate both in‑person and virtual training programs. You will lead end‑to‑end instructional initiatives that support adult learning and measurable outcomes across the agency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging instructor‑led and eLearning sessions using tools such as Articulate Storyline 360.
• Create storyboards, scripts, and quality‑assured eLearning content that meets accessibility and branding standards.
• Coordinate training schedules, logistics, facilitator support, and learner communications.
• Provide learner support through the CRM system, troubleshoot issues, and update training materials.
• Analyze evaluation data, assessments, and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve training effectiveness.
• Partner with technical and functional teams to translate complex processes into clear learning objectives.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED plus five years of relevant experience, including at least one year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering instructor‑led and virtual training for adult learners.
• Ability to work in Georgia, possess legal authorization to work in the United States, and pass a comprehensive background check.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Articulate Storyline 360 for eLearning authoring.
• Working knowledge of the ADDIE instructional design methodology.
• Experience with Workday Learning platform and LMS administration.
• Familiarity with CRM systems for learner support.
• Understanding of financial accounting concepts to develop relevant training content.
