Sous Chef – Fine Dining Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to lead our kitchen operations at Sugo, a restaurant that celebrates Italian and Greek heritage with refined family‑style dishes. The successful candidate will ensure smooth service, support the culinary team, and uphold our commitment to genuine hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen stations, ensuring they are set up, stocked, and running efficiently during service.
• Lead and delegate tasks to staff, including working the expo station as needed.
• Assist with ordering, inventory control, scheduling, and the rollout of new menu items.
• Check deliveries for quality, manage proper storage, and track inventory to minimize waste.
• Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, and train new team members on policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience in the hospitality industry, specifically as a Lead Line Cook, Sous Chef, or equivalent kitchen leadership in a fine‑dining setting.
• Proven ability to manage kitchen operations, inventory, and staff while maintaining high standards of food quality and service.
