Solutions Engineer, Enterprise West (Pre-Sales)

About the role

This role is for a senior Solutions Engineer who will own the technical win, partnering with Account Executives to drive the full technical sales motion from discovery through to rigorous validation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery to understand customers' data architecture, marketing workflows and business objectives.
• Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations and architectural solutions across Hightouch’s platform.
• Run end‑to‑end proof‑of‑concept engagements, from scoping to validation.
• Build and maintain deep technical relationships with data engineers, architects and marketing technologists.
• Navigate complex buying committees and act as a technical advisor to C‑suite and marketing leaders.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to shape go‑to‑market strategy for emerging AI and agentic products.

Required profile

• 5+ years of enterprise pre‑sales or solutions engineering experience with complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles.
• Proven ability to lead technical discovery, architectural white‑boarding and solution design for both technical and business audiences.
• Deep familiarity with modern data ecosystems, including cloud data warehouses, data modeling, data engineering, integrations and APIs.
• Experience influencing buying committees and building technical champions across engineering, marketing and executive levels.
• Knowledge of value‑selling frameworks such as MEDDPICC or Command the Message is a strong plus.

What we offer

• On‑Target Earnings: $190,000 – $250,000 annually
• Base Salary: $133,000 – $175,000 annually
