Software Engineer, Platform

About the role

Lassie is building autonomous systems for doctors' offices to eliminate busywork and streamline daily workflows. As a Platform Software Engineer you will help create the reliable foundations that power these workflows at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations, data models, orchestration, and reliability systems that enable agents to complete real‑world workflows.
• Build internal tools, observability platforms, and infrastructure that accelerate the launch of new workflows.
• Collaborate closely with product and operations teams to translate messy real‑world processes into dependable, automated systems.
• Contribute to data pipelines, sync engines, and other core components that process large volumes of insurance claims and healthcare payments.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a passion for building robust, production‑grade systems.
• Experience working in small, flat teams where direct communication and craftsmanship are valued.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional partners to turn ambiguous requirements into concrete implementations.

Required skills

• Python (including Django and Pydantic)
• TypeScript and React
• PostgreSQL and Redis
• Google Cloud Platform and Vercel
• SQLite (encrypted usage in browsers)
• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Linear, Slack, and Notion
