Social Catering Sales Manager

About the role

The Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, an upscale hotel near Woodfield Mall and 15 minutes from O'Hare, is seeking a Social Catering Sales Manager. The role generates, sells and details social catering business, including weddings, social celebrations and other special events, managing the entire client experience from initial inquiry through event planning, detailing and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Sell and detail social catering business and maximize revenue and profitability
• Manage the full client experience, from initial inquiry and sales process through event planning, detailing and execution
• Coordinate catering services, food and beverage, banquet facilities and other event details with clients and internal teams
• Work with culinary, banquet, sales and other hotel departments to deliver seamless events

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in catering sales, event sales, hospitality or a related field; hotel experience preferred
• Proven ability to generate new business, build client relationships, conduct sales outreach and meet revenue goals
• Experience selling, planning and detailing social events such as weddings and celebrations
• Ability to manage the full event lifecycle, from inquiry and contract negotiation through detailing and execution
• Flexible availability for client appointments, site tours and occasional evening or weekend events

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of catering operations, banquet event orders (BEOs), food and beverage offerings, event setup and service standards
• Excellent communication, organization, time management and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple events, deadlines and client needs at once
