About the role

Archer Western Construction, LLC is seeking a reliable Skilled Laborer to join the Central Transportation Group’s Charenton Floodgate Replacement project in Jeanerette, LA. The role involves performing physical labor on commercial, industrial, and heavy‑civil construction sites while supporting crew members and maintaining site safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical labor tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills and hammers.
• Clean and prepare construction sites, erect scaffolding, and dispose of debris responsibly.
• Dig trenches, load and unload supplies manually or with equipment.
• Assist with site preparation and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years verifiable experience in construction labor.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds or ladders.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lb and working in adverse weather.
• Strong work ethic, good manual dexterity, and willingness to learn.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screening and comply with all safety policies.

Required skills

• Operation of hand tools (drills, hammers, etc.).

• Erecting and dismantling scaffolding.
• Manual material handling and equipment operation.
