Site Quality Manager (NDT Level 3)

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a senior Quality Manager with Level 3 NDT expertise to build and lead a Quality Management System for a new shipbuilding site. The role combines strategic QMS development, hands‑on inspection oversight, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure the highest quality standards in autonomous maritime manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain a site‑wide QMS aligned with ISO 9001, including policies, procedures, work instructions and documentation control.
• Establish CAPA processes, internal audit programs and continuous‑improvement metrics.
• Recruit, train and mentor a quality team of inspectors, NDT technicians and quality engineers.
• Create inspection plans, hold points and test plans for welding, fabrication and machining activities.
• Apply and oversee NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT) in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
• Manage weld quality control, including PQRs, WPS, and welder qualifications.
• Partner with operations, engineering and production to embed quality into design for manufacturability and production readiness.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and drive corrective actions for non‑conformances.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in quality management within shipbuilding or heavy‑manufacturing environments.
• Deep knowledge of non‑destructive testing techniques and welding inspection.
• Hands‑on experience implementing ISO‑based QMS, CAPA and audit processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing quality teams.
• Strong collaboration skills with operations, engineering and production functions.
