Signal Foreman – Railway Signaling Leader

About the role

Modern Railway Systems, a subsidiary of Stacy Witbeck, is seeking a Signal Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of railway signaling systems. The role leads a team of signal technicians, ensuring safe and efficient operation of flashers, switches, and automated crossing gates.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of railway signaling equipment across nationwide projects.
• Lead and supervise a crew of signal technicians, coordinating schedules, daily briefings, and performance.
• Review project documentation and ensure work complies with the latest specifications and safety standards.
• Plan day‑to‑day operations, allocate labor, equipment, and materials, and develop safety action plans.
• Conduct inspections, respond to emergencies, and ensure proper use of safety equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; minimum 5 years experience on rail transit projects.
• At least 2 years experience as a signaling foreman.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL and crane operating certificate are a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and supervisory skills.
