Service Technician – Yard Operations

About the role

WillScot is seeking a Service Technician to work in the yard, performing inspections, repairs, and modifications on its fleet of modular office trailers. The role combines hands‑on building work with customer interaction to ensure trailers are ready for delivery and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and assess rented trailers for damage and repair scope.
• Perform repairs and upgrades including framing, finish carpentry, light electrical, flooring, plumbing, painting, and running gear.
• Create floor‑plan drawings when required.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and equipment.
• Provide courteous customer service in person and over the phone, explaining repairs and services.
• Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick‑ups, and service calls.
• Conduct HVAC system checks and routine maintenance.
• Follow WillScot safety, transportation, and environmental policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer proficiency and strong communication skills.
