Service Technician – Automotive Repair

About the role

Join the Porsche of Nashville service team and work on high‑performance vehicles in a supportive Sonic Automotive environment. You will perform repairs and maintenance to factory standards while developing your technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process repair orders, moving them to the appropriate stall.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions, perform repairs, and document all work.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain required components and tag warranty parts.
• Conduct road‑tests or coordinate with the test technician to verify repairs.
• Supervise any apprentice technicians assigned to you.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and ensure all dealership tools are accounted for.
• Follow all safety policies, hazardous‑waste regulations, and report incidents promptly.

Required profile

• High CSI rating is mandatory.
• ASE certification or equivalent manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work safely and pass background, MVR, drug, and pre‑employment tests.
