Service Coordinator

About the role

The Service Coordinator supports repair and reconditioning work for both external and internal customers, providing quotations, prioritising projects and managing repair orders. This onsite position in Houston, TX, focuses on improving utilisation, throughput and overall service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and coordinate repair and reconditioning projects with team leaders and management.
• Provide status updates to the sales team and maintain production schedules.
• Create and assure complete job packets, including drawings, quality plans, checklists and EHS documentation.
• Generate formal repair quotes for customers and internal sales teams.
• Manage job costs to maintain acceptable margins and drive 5S and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least five years of hands‑on experience in repairing/reconditioning in a manufacturing or job‑shop environment.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and understand basic machining and welding techniques.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and resilience in stressful situations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BPCS, Jeeves, Installed Base, SALLY, CAS, OPTO, MRP and Lotus Notes applications.
• Experience ordering parts, creating purchase orders and managing outsource processes.
