Service Coordinator – Plate Heat Exchanger

About the role

The Service Coordinator supports repair and reconditioning projects for both external and internal customers, providing quotations, prioritising work, and managing repair orders. This onsite position is based in Houston, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and coordinate repair and reconditioning projects with team leaders and management to improve utilisation and throughput.
• Provide job status updates to the sales team and maintain production schedules.
• Create and assure complete job packets, including drawings, quality plans, checklists, and EHS documentation.
• Generate formal repair quotes for customers and internal sales teams, reviewing shop quotes before finalisation.
• Manage job costs to maintain acceptable margins and drive 5S, investment requests and process improvements.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED with at least five years of hands‑on experience in repairing/reconditioning in a manufacturing or job‑shop environment.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, strong communication skills and resilience in stressful situations.
• Customer‑service orientation with a focus on teamwork, flexibility and initiative.

Required skills

• Proficiency with BPCS, Jeeves, Installed Base, SALLY, CAS, OPTO, MRP and Lotus Notes applications.
• Experience creating repair quotes, managing purchase orders and coordinating outsource processes.
• Knowledge of machining and welding techniques and ability to interpret technical drawings.
