Senior Test Stand Technician

About the role

The Senior Test Stand Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining gearbox test stand systems in a heavy‑industrial environment. This role supports continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives while working closely with engineering and production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and install wind gearboxes, stub shafts, couplings, adapters, instrumentation, and auxiliary equipment on the test stand.
• Operate flushing systems, monitor test cycles, record data, and identify abnormal conditions for root‑cause analysis.
• Safely move gearboxes using cranes, perform alignment, mounting, and connect electrical, hydraulic, and lubrication systems.
• Troubleshoot and maintain test stand electrical systems, perform diagnostics with multimeters and other instruments.
• Support preventive maintenance, calibration, and verification of test equipment.
• Train less‑experienced technicians and contribute to 5S and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience with rotating equipment or gearboxes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with motors, VFDs, sensors, industrial control systems, and lubrication systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, independent work style, and basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, ERP).
