Mechanical Engineer – Wind Turbine Gearbox Support

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical and engineering support for NGC US wind turbine and industrial gearbox remanufacturing and field service activities. The role bridges engineering, production, sales, and service teams to elevate NGC US competency to expert status.

Key responsibilities

• Write and review process procedures, inspection reports, and testing methods for gearbox disassembly, assembly, and field servicing.
• Design tools and define testing methods in accordance with industry standards, using engineering calculations and software.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and field service teams to improve process capability and resolve technical issues.
• Train technicians on safe and correct execution of procedures and occasionally perform manual disassembly/assembly tasks.
• Communicate with US and China engineering teams and may serve as a project team member on implementations.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical background, preferably in gearing.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred.
• Customer‑focused attitude with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 1–3 years of related experience and ability to quickly learn NGC products.
