Senior Relationship Banker – Consumer & Business Banking

About the role

The Senior Relationship Banker is responsible for managing and enhancing client relationships, focusing on attracting and retaining new clients while strengthening existing ones. You will independently manage a portfolio of high‑value consumer and small‑business customers and act as the expert on Santander products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of high‑value consumer and small‑business clients.
• Proactively deepen relationships through early‑engagement calls and regular outreach.
• Assess customer needs, recommend needs‑based solutions, and introduce appropriate partners.
• Collaborate with team members and product partners to achieve branch goals and generate new business.
• Deliver an elevated, personalized customer experience across in‑branch, phone, and digital channels.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years selling products/services in an incentive‑based environment, or 2+ years in financial services acquiring new client relationships, or 12+ months demonstrated Santander experience.
• Strong financial acumen with knowledge of consumer and small‑business products and lending.
• Proven track record in sales, cross‑selling, and portfolio management.
• Excellent communication, consultative, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using digital tools and online banking platforms.
