Senior Project Engineer 1

About the role

Techtronic Industries Power Equipment, a subsidiary of TTI, is hiring a Senior Project Engineer 1 for its Anderson, SC office. The engineer manages engineering technical contributions on assigned product development programs and supports mature products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of product architecture for high-volume manufacturing, interpreting consumer/value-driven design guides and meeting cost, timing and reliability goals
• Analyze, evaluate and select design alternatives, prove them against specifications and implement them in mass production; mechanism experience preferred
• Write general and detailed product, performance and testing specifications
• Develop phase-based prototypes, development plans, engineering pilot plans and test programs, manage model shop support and testing, and conduct design and safety reviews
• Approve the technical data package, complete project documentation including Engineering Change Masters and Bills of Material, and manage critical dimensions
• Drive quality compliance and use tools such as FMEA, DOE, SPC, DFM/AI, CAD analysis, fluid dynamics and 3D design tools

Required profile

• BS in Engineering (mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5-8 years in a similar field
• Ability to communicate across functions and internationally, and willingness to travel internationally
• Proactive, autonomous and collaborative approach

Required skills

• SolidWorks and/or NX
• Design for manufacture, assembly and inspection
