Senior People Operations Manager

About the role

Wag! Group is seeking a Senior People Operations Manager to own the full employee lifecycle beyond recruiting. This hands‑on generalist role focuses on building efficient HR processes, delivering a seamless employee experience, and ensuring compliance across federal, state, and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end onboarding and offboarding, including exit interviews and documentation.
• Administer the company HRIS, maintain data accuracy, manage system updates, integrations, and generate leadership reports.
• Oversee day‑to‑day benefits administration, open enrollment, vendor relationships, and employee inquiries.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee and manager questions, investigate workplace issues, and foster a respectful environment.
• Own the performance review cycle, from calendar management to manager enablement and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with applicable employment laws, maintain required postings, filings, and coordinate mandatory training.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR operations or People Ops, preferably in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with a high degree of empathy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
