Senior Network Engineer Lead

About the role

Lucid Motors is looking for a Senior Network Engineer for its Casa Grande area facilities. The engineer oversees the implementation of equipment, maintains each part of the network, troubleshoots issues, monitors the firewall, checks router functionality, keeps internet security software up to date, and maintains the company phone and video conferencing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of industrial network standards and establish network design principles, documentation and maintenance procedures.
• Deploy and integrate industrial networks in the plant, including hardware and software, and ensure system uptime and backups.
• Work with engineering to report issues, lead project deliverables and give status updates; collaborate with network architects on network design.
• Install, configure, test and document network equipment according to design specifications, and lead daily networking tasks to keep the network reliable and available.
• Monitor network activity to sustain data throughput, respond quickly to incidents and requests, and resolve connectivity and wireless issues within the office.
• Support the network security team, report project status in team meetings, and work with third-party vendors to keep the network running.
• Maintain the company phone and video conferencing systems with the service provider, automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness, and present findings from technical improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience as a network engineer in a fast-moving environment.
• IT infrastructure operations, IT service management or IT business operations experience.
• Business-level English fluency; other languages are a plus.
• Project management experience and ability to work in a team under pressure.

Required skills

• Cisco CCIE certification required.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba devices, collaboration and wireless solutions, and Cisco ISE endpoint solutions.
• Knowledge of Cisco, NXOS and IOS, and familiarity with SolarWinds, Cisco DNA, WireXpert, Net Scout, Wireshark and Spectrum Analyzer.
• Network communication standards (802.11, EtherNet/IP, Profinet I/O, TCP/IP, QoS), TCP/IP, SNMP, routing and switching protocols, and network security protocols.
• Understanding of PLC communication and its effect on Ethernet networks.
• Service Desk and ITIL knowledge.
