Lead Network Deployment Technician

About the role

Fairstead, a real estate firm focused on affordable housing, is hiring a Lead Network Deployment Technician for its ResiBridge business, an ISP offering low-cost internet through professional-grade routers and free installation. The role supervises field teams across multiple sites and markets, blending hands-on technical work with field leadership and logistics coordination. It oversees senior and standard technicians, supports market launches, ensures deployment consistency and owns accountability for execution quality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate teams of deployment technicians across concurrent projects
• Travel to new markets to lead deployment crews and set up local operations
• Act as escalation point for technical field issues, resolving them quickly and thoroughly
• Make sure all deployments meet ResiBridge standards for cable routing, labeling, equipment installation and documentation
• Work with the Network Deployment Manager to align daily deployments with production goals
• Give field-level feedback to improve tools, training and process documentation
• Track deployment progress, material usage and crew performance, escalating risks early
• Support and enforce safety practices and jobsite professionalism

Required profile

• 5+ years of network deployment experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Experience leading remote deployments, managing travel crews and launching new markets
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple field teams at once
• Excellent communication with field teams, office staff, vendors and property management
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, including overnight stays, outside NYC

Required skills

• Mastery of structured cabling, fiber optic installation and testing, and wireless equipment provisioning
• Reading plans, marking up as-builts and submitting accurate documentation
• Nice to have: wireless backhaul experience with 5GHz, 24GHz, 60GHz and 70/80GHz bands

Salary range: $70,000-$85,000 USD.
