Audio Visual Lead Technician

About the role

Tritech Communications is seeking an Audio Visual Lead Technician to lead installations, startups, and closeouts of AV projects while providing service and repair support to customers in New York City.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, startup, and closeout of AV jobs, including cabling, connectors, and rack assembly.
• Install, operate, and service AV equipment such as media control systems (AMX/Crestron/Extron), matrix mixers, switchers, and codecs (Tandberg/Polycom).
• Read and interpret AV system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Operate machinery and power tools, lift loads up to 50 lbs, and work on ladders or scaffolding.
• Interact professionally with clients and provide customer‑service oriented support.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in an AV integration firm with installation and service responsibilities.
• Proven ability to run project sites, lead a crew of technicians, and manage multiple tasks.
• Technical certification from a major AV manufacturer (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Clear One, AMX) or related certifications (CTS, CTS‑I, NICET, EST).
• Associate‑level degree in a technology field or equivalent AV work experience.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
