Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Competitive Range Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead and support its executive support group within a Department of Defense environment. The role focuses on rapid response to urgent network incidents and ensuring reliable connectivity for high‑priority locations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the Rapid Response Team to perform urgent break‑fixes and incident remediation.
• Manage network connectivity for VIP/General Officer quarters, including readiness for visits and high‑priority requirements.
• Implement and maintain network transport across all classification levels, handling encryption devices, VoIP/VoSIP equipment, and auxiliary power such as UPS.
• Oversee life‑cycle maintenance, installation, patching, and cabling of transport devices according to approved standards.
• Assist Crisis Management Teams with cost transfers and user agreement updates, and prepare monthly Rapid Response Team reports.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience, with proven rapid‑response and high‑priority incident management.
• Familiarity with DoD teams such as JNOSC Core Engineering, Service Restoral, TACLANE, Service Response, and MAC teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• One nationally recognized senior network administrator/engineer/architect certification.
