Senior LMS Administrator

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a Senior LMS Administrator to lead the enterprise learning management platform. This senior individual contributor will own the LMS, drive strategic improvements, and ensure reliable daily operations across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Administer core LMS functions, ensuring platform performance, scalability, and configuration health aligned with institutional learning priorities.
• Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and complex hierarchies to provide secure access and accurate data.
• Upload, organize, and govern courses, learning modules, assessments, and training materials while maintaining content standards.
• Configure LMS branding, notifications, learning pathways, automation rules, and advanced features to improve operational efficiency.
• Partner with IT and vendors on single sign‑on, API integrations, third‑party tools, and long‑term configuration enhancements.
• Develop and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide actionable insights on learning activity and business impact.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting for access, course, system, and integration issues, resolving high‑impact technical problems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years of experience administering learning management systems or comparable enterprise platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with faculty, staff, and stakeholders.
