Senior Investor, LocalONE

About the role

Horizon Media, a marketing and advertising firm founded in 1989 and headquartered in New York City with offices in Los Angeles and Toronto, is hiring a Senior Investor for its LocalONE team. The role focuses on negotiating media schedules and buying placements in assigned local markets or accounts, with about 60% of the time spent on negotiation.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and allocate media schedules that meet or exceed client marketing and promotional objectives, delivering cost-effective schedules in assigned markets or accounts
• Maintain and monitor best pricing in assigned markets and accounts, and provide accurate cost projections based on current market conditions and historical data
• Understand buying guidelines, client goals and market trends, and follow them while giving a strong rationale for any deviations
• Handle barter and trade deals and negotiate multi-platform proposals
• Secure, maintain and track added-value activity on buy placements, and post quarterly results with explanations for any shortfalls
• Ensure assistants reconcile invoices on time, and train and mentor them
• Build relationships with vendor partners and deliver on work goals set by managers

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary range of $66,300 to $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications
