Senior Global Application Engineer

About the role

The Senior Global Application Engineer will support protective communications products worldwide, collaborating with 3M engineers and customers to solve technical challenges in noisy environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide global technical support for protective communications devices, including troubleshooting, configuration, and firmware issues.
• Support current products and new product introductions through customer acceptance trials, documentation, and claims substantiation.
• Develop customer support materials, conduct training, and present industry sessions on protective communication technologies.
• Collaborate with US and Canada sales and marketing teams to grow the protective communications business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (minimum requirement).
• At least five years of experience in application engineering, technical service, or troubleshooting electronic communication equipment.
• Strong international mindset and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Fluent English and ability to travel up to 20% domestically/internationally.

Required skills

• Experience with radio DMR, PMR, LMR and Push‑to‑Talk over Cellular devices.
• Knowledge of firmware/software troubleshooting for electronic protective communication devices.
• Ability to configure products, set up users, and resolve accessory compatibility and connectivity issues.
