Senior Director, Quantitative Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics – Oncology

About the role

MSD is seeking an accomplished scientific leader to head the Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics Oncology team. The Senior Director will provide strategic scientific oversight across the oncology portfolio, driving model‑informed drug development (MIDD) and influencing key regulatory and development decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and shape quantitative pharmacology strategy for oncology programs, including dose selection, trial design, and go/no‑go decisions.
• Develop and implement integrated MIDD approaches, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations for small molecules, biologics, ADCs and TCEs.
• Mentor and manage a team of QP2 scientists, overseeing performance, hiring, and talent development.
• Represent QP2 in cross‑functional governance forums, collaborating with Clinical Development, Translational Medicine, Biostatistics and Regulatory teams.
• Contribute to regulatory strategies and author key submission documents such as INDs, CSRs, and NDA/BLA packages.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, pharmacometrics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related field with ≥10 years industry experience, or OR a Master’s/PharmD with ≥15 years experience.
• Extensive experience in oncology drug development and quantitative strategy implementation.
• Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and influence regulatory decisions.
• Strong record of delivering high‑quality clinical pharmacology and pharmacometric analyses.
