Senior Director, Product Management - Finance

About the role

The Home Depot is looking for a Senior Director of Product Management for its finance business domain. The role develops and drives the product management strategy, works with business and technology partners to plan and achieve goals, and guides the delivery of value, sales, efficiency and customer satisfaction. It also mentors product management leaders and attracts and develops top talent. The position reports to the Chief Product and Experience Officer and has six direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Strategy and planning (40%): drive the product strategy for the domain, prioritize and sequence the product roadmap, partner with functional and technical leaders, contribute to the Enterprise Product Roadmap, stay current on market research and vendor relationships, and manage strategic vendor relationships.
• Operations (20%): review product development quality, monitor product metrics, ensure alignment with enterprise goals and KPIs, and provide transparent visibility of results and dependencies.
• Enablement (20%): establish and refine the product management discipline, champion customer-backed design, advocate for the end user, and build a productive team culture.
• People development (20%): shape and coach product management leaders, attract and retain talent, set strategic direction, and conduct annual and mid-year reviews.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Education: bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job.
• Experience: 8 years preferred; no additional years required.
• Travel: typically less than 10% overnight; mostly sitting work in an indoor setting.

Required skills

• Leading a product team in a fast-paced, multi-division, national company.
• Defining and driving value propositions, success metrics and outcomes.
• Communicating and building influence with functional and technical leaders, and managing strategic vendor relationships.
