Senior Director, AI Development and Go-to-Market Strategy

About the role

Community Solutions seeks a senior leader to drive AI development and market adoption across its network of 170+ communities. The role will shape AI strategy, oversee tool creation, and ensure ethical, human‑centered deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the AI portfolio, guiding design, testing, and deployment of tools in partner communities.
• Define build‑or‑partner decisions, own technical architecture, and establish privacy‑safe, local deployment for sensitive data.
• Manage relationships with technology partners, funders, and corporate AI programs to secure resources and collaborations.
• Oversee a team including a Principal of Policy & Evaluation, a Data Scientist, and a program manager, with potential growth as needed.
• Develop and obtain approval for a go‑to‑market budget from the Executive Team and Board.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build and ship AI tools across the stack, including APIs, prototyping, and data integration.
• Experience making product judgments on what to build versus partner or outsource.
• Track record managing external partnerships, especially technology or funding collaborations.
• Comfort operating in fast‑moving, ambiguous environments with a bias toward shipping.
