Senior Data Governance Analyst

About the role

The Senior Data Governance Analyst works within the FRFS Data Office to lead the implementation and monitoring of data governance policies and analytics frameworks, operationalizing governance through platform configuration, policy development, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and implement data governance policies, processes, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
• Configure and administer data governance platforms (Collibra, Immuta) to operationalize workflows, design governance workflows, approval processes, and stewardship assignments.
• Create and maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, data lineage documentation, information maps, retention schedules, and data catalogs.
• Perform in‑depth research and analysis to identify data quality issues, and partner with data owners to map data structures, usage, and definitions.
• Facilitate implementation of common data management practices, participate in and may lead Federal Reserve System workgroups, and serve as a knowledge resource for data governance best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of data governance or data management experience.
• Hands‑on experience with data governance platforms such as Collibra, Immuta, Informatica, Alation, or similar.
• Understanding of data governance frameworks, data security, privacy, and quality requirements.

Required skills

• Collibra (certification preferred) or similar data governance platform.
• Metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage tools.
• Scripting or programming for automation (Python, JavaScript) – preferred.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) – preferred.
